Macline® offers two different products, a geomembrane supported GCL and a fabric encased GCL, both of which deliver reduced cost and increased performance even in the most demanding environments such as hazardous landfill, coal ash disposal facilities and mining applications.
Geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) combine geosynthetics with sodium bentonite clay to form a highly impermeable barrier that can replace thick layers of expensive compacted clay.
Macline® GCL is a geocomposite consisting of a layer of bentonite encapsulated between two geotextile non-woven needle punched geotextiles. The three layers are then needle punched together for maximum performance under a wide variety of field conditions.
This integrated matrix of bentonite and needle punched fibres provides high shear strength and allows the GCL to offer low permeability even when installed in adverse conditions. MacLine® GCL has high internal shear strength characteristics for steep slope applications.
