The 63rd Annual National Mine Safety & Environment Conference was held on November 15-18, 2016 in the Mountain City of Baguio, Cordilleras Autonomous Region. In the last 10 years, this key mining conference and exhibit has attracted all the major industry players and this year was no exception.
Key issues discussed during the technical conference, functions, networking and social events were the current state of the industry and the Department of the Environment and Natural Resources’ (DENR) initiatives in auditing compliance with mine and environmental safety standards. Since mid-2016, a number of mines have had permits suspended, cancelled or revoked.
Infratex Environmental Services, Inc. were pleased to be part of this exhibit again. Taking one of the larger exhibit spaces, Infratex showcased numerous products that can be used in mine site rehabilitation, restitution, recovery and closure.
Products showcased at the exhibit included HDPE pipes and liners. We are proud that in the mining industry, Infratex products are seen to be highly effective addressing many of the construction issues typically encountered on mine sites.
